OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH OUR GREAT FRIEND PETE BISSMAN IN HIS TIME OF LOSS.

I WAS ONE OF THE FORTUNATE WHO GOT TO KNOW MARLISS AND ENJOYED MANY LONG CONVERSATIONS.

WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER MARLISS, BUT BECAUSE OF HER ILLNESS IT CAUSED ME TO RESPECT PETE EVEN MORE FOR HIS DEDICATION AND ATTENTION TO MARLISS THROUGH HER LONG ILLNESS.

AGAIN PETE, OUR THOUGHTS AND LOVE FOR YOU IS EXTENDED OUT TO YOU.

YOUR FRIEND,
CHARLIE PLUMMER

Hello to all my CCM classmates, Gerti and I want to thank you all for the many prayers for my dearest and most lovable Mother who has passed away just four days after her 98th birthday. We're so happy that God has received her in His arms and that He will show her a greater life somewhereelse in Heaven.

Thank you all so much, Eric and Gerti

Comment on studio razing

name: Terry Donohue

comment: Class of 1968, so I was at the CCM old building, and then the house on Scioto, and finally the new (now old) building on the main campus.  Have someone ask about the trashing of building, in, I believe, 1967.  Tom Bruehl, Ty Clear, Karl Sjodahl were all involved.  Many pictures exist, I think.

E-mail from Tom Bruehl...

Just found your site at the suggestion of a fellow alumnus. Please add me to your list as I just snuck in under the 50’s-60’s definition!

Tom Bruehl, Class of 1968 – worked at WMOH, WKRC radio, WLW-T, WCPO-TV, KTLA-TV, Warner Brothers and currently at Paramount Pictures. Currently living in Burbank, Ca.

I was sad to read of Marian Spellman’s passing. Was fortunate enough to be on the ‘floor crew’ for the last few years of Ruth’s show and got to know and enjoy all of those fun people. Bill Spiegel was generous enough to promote me to booth announcing shortly after that. Don’t forget Vivienne Della Chiesa who had the afternoon show on WLW-T for a period of time with her second-banana – Nick Clooney. It was a great time to a part of the last of a very dynamic local television and radio market. Advertisers today just wouldn’t understand.

Terry Donohue, class of 1968, also has a collection of photos from the old campus, Scioto Street (temporary campus between tearing down the old one and opening the then new building going up on campus) and the opening of the (since torn down) new building. He will try and get those digitized so they can be shared. He’s distracted at the moment because he finally got an Emmy nomination and he’s busy stuffing ballot boxes.

comment: After 27 years at Paramount Pictures I retired in June, 2009. But I renewed my SAG card (from 1968) and am producing a VO demo to see if this old guy still has the chops in that field.
Great reading about fellow alumni here.

comment: Hi, Just found out about this site from Dave Silvian.  I see I was on the alumni list (don't know how that happened) but it was incorrect...I corrected it.  Just went back to Cincy last weekend for HS reunion...would love to go to a CCM reunion.

E-mail from Matt Tierney:

Pat and I had a wonderful time  again in Cincinnati especially being together and Herb is the Ohio River " KING " -- loved music and the entire 1000 people on the Lunch Cruse loved Herb too !!!  Distressed about Pete Berkobein. We will keep he and Zandra in our Prayers.

We are investigating 2008 in Lexington, Kentucky--- discussions no decisions yet.  # 1 problem  " No River / No Cruise  perhaps Herb can play organ / and bring a monkey to raise funds for future years. I'll find an organ someplace??  Pat & Matt

comment: Excellent, what a great way to
look back and revisit all those
who were part of the beginning
of Television. To catch up on 40+ years that we were not together or
out of touch. The reunions have been a lot of fun.
Thank you
